Mission Statement
The Giving Tree's purpose is to mimic the public social service model with less bureaucracy and more efficiency. Through a combination of private citizen donations (of time, skill and money) individuals can be served through our community service agency to find, secure, afford and utilize the breadth of services available to them. Our role is one of problem solving, case management, networking, education and advocacy. |
Sometimes the bureaucracy gets in the way. If we could just get paid to do the good work, we could help so many more people. Whatever a person earns per hour, if they spend 80% of their time filling out forms, they only have 20% of their time to help people
